Toronto Public Library: Scarborough Civic Centre Branch

A new Toronto Public Library branch is being built near the Scarborough Civic Centre.  This 14,500 sq. foot facility will provide a full range of services including:  zoned spaces for adults, teens and children with a KidsStop early literacy centre, study lounge and seating, multipurpose programming space for branch and community use, computer and wireless internet access, digital innovation hub, a collection of 50,000 items and a reading garden.  The Scarborough Civic Centre branch will feature a green roof and is scheduled to open in fall 2014.  For more information, visit:  http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/renovations/scarborough-centre-branch.jsp.

  1. Nice. It’s good to see new libraries opening up when the youth are so out of touch (learning wise). They’d rather play video games. It’s also great to see a city councillor on wordpress! Keep up the great work!
