The Steeles Avenue East Study Notice of Completion has been issued and the Environmental Study Report (ESR) is available for public to review until April 7, 2017. The notice and the ESR are available on the project webpage: www.toronto.ca/steelesbridge.

The recommended design for the grade separation, as documented in the ESR, includes:
- Replacing the level crossing of Steeles Avenue East and the railway tracks with an underpass (road under rail)
- Widening Steeles Avenue East from four to six lanes between Redlea Avenue and Midland Avenue
- Incorporating separated cycling facilities on Steeles Avenue East from Kelvin Grove Avenue to Midland Avenue
- Improving pedestrian facilities
Subject to comments received as a result of this study, implementation of the project will be carried out by Metrolinx, with design commencing in 2017 and construction anticipated to be complete by 2020.
